Working mostly off the top of my head, and glancing at my shelf...

Company-

Imagic or U.S. Games.

Might not be enough recently unplayed Imagic games, might not even BE enough U.S. Games games, but just a couple that seem OK.

Arcade-

Burgertime.

Again, I DON'T want to ever really have to play the game, so I prolly won't unless "forced" to, haha, so kinda trying to "box myself in"...

Vanguard

Crystal Castles

Games rarely in the HSC-

I don't really know, TBH, only been here a couple years, so guessing-

The Earth Dies Screaming

Survival Run

Both those games kick butt, and tho not really my style, I enjoy both.

Paddle Games-

Demons to Diamonds is about all I can think of.

Backgammon!!!(Kidding).

Homebrew-

I've been really surprised. I'd have told you, before competing here, that tho I respected it, I didn't actually LIKE homebrew.

Well, turns out I do, lol, last years games were excellent, with Dragon's Descent being my personal fave, and all three this year were top-notch as well, with Doggone It! being my fave by default(I can't help being so damned good at it.)( ? ).

No particular recommendations from me on it tho-I actually don't mind being "completely surprised", haha, and as long as the games have Authors/Programmers as enthusiastic about their work as the ones I have encountered so far here, I'm sure it'll be "good".

Love to Play-

Skiing, please.

Actually, just add "Activision", and "Timer", you pick it, I'll kick it.

:P

Mebbe one of the two Activision protos, Kabobber or Thwocker.

Bonus Games-

Mebbe this is actually where "Activision" and "Timer" can come into play.

Another thing, just to throw out there Vocelli, I think I mentioned this on one of the game threads this season, an overall "bonus game".

Talking in the middle, I suppose I could see where someone could sandbag and throw all the numbers off in the end, but I dunno.

I was thinking, if there was a "relatively universally agreed upon" game, that was open for play all season long, so if someone is completely satisfied with their effort on a game for a particular week, knowing they ain't gonna improve(happens to me a lot...), they've at least got something to "fall back on" to play for a higher score.

IMO, Jr. Pac would have been a great game for that "format", tho we are actively playing it now, but a similar game, where improvements often take "attempts".

Mebbe even make it relatively low scoring(for tournament points), so it doesn't affect the overall "too much".

OK. Really a lot of fun competing here, I know I run against the grain a bit with the length of my posts sometimes, apologies, it just is what it is.

Thanks Everyone, and Happy Holidays!!!

I don't have a lot to add here, but please: less Activision and more Imagic games. Activision's great but it's a well-tapped well; there are all kinds of great Imagic games that I haven't seen in the competition and I started in 2016. A few for your consideration: Shootin' Gallery, Subterranea, Moonsweeper.

I haven't been much of an active participant in HSC the last few seasons, so you can weigh my vote accordingly, but I'd like to suggest Telesys for the featured company. They've always been one of my favorite third party publishers for the 2600 with several good, sort of under the radar games. I'd say Demolition Herby, Cosmic Creeps and Fast Food are my favorites, but Ram It and Stargunner are good too.

Some homebrew suggesttions:

Space Cactus Canyon

Tower of Rubble

The End

Space Game

sorry for the long post....I am a collector because I love playing unique games...making suggestions I find very interesting.

Games I would love to play:

Cops and Robbers Week:  Lock n Chase and Bank Heist are two good games that have a common Theme.

Missile Command Game 7( or 6 maybe...the one with smart bombs that evade your missiles and starts at hardest level)

Space invaders.....invisible invaders with fat ship and lasers that don't move straight.

Chuck Norris Superkicks....I used to love Walker Texas Ranger as a kid!!!

               Tapeworm by Spectravision

Sea Hunt by Froggo(this is actually fun when you get over the cheap kills...its like a terrible Tutanhkhaman)

                Frostbite....hardest setting

Beamrider(not for score but to see what level you can get to)

                Demons to Diamonds...Paddle Game

Spies in the Night I or II(Homebrew)

                Oystron(very unique homebew)

Qbert like games...Qbert obviously, Rabbit Transit, Boing, Qberts Cubes

Companies to Consider:

Fox & Games of the Century....games like spacemaster x-7, Alien, bank heist, mega force, revenge of the beefsteak tomatoes, turmoil, worm war 1, crash dive

Tigervision.....king kong, river patrol, jawbreaker, (wee recently did polaris), maurader, (we also recently did Espial),Threshold(even though this game really sucks...even worse than King Kong).

US Games:  Raft Rider (I really like this one...underrated), Entombed(this one is pretty good), Name this Game(also underrated in my opinion), commando raid(a classic)

Imagic:  Solar Storm(paddle), Quick step, moonsweeper, no escape.

All Three Konami Games:  Strategy x, pooyan, marine wars

M-Network:  Bump n Jump, Burgertime, HeMan, Tron Deadly Discs

From the arcade:  The 2600 Pengo port is really good imho, Gravitar(I love this game...lots of different strategies), Jungle Hunt, Moon Patrol, Roc N Rope, Pooyan, wizard of wor

Homebrews:   JUNO FIRST, SEAWOLF, AMEOBA JUMP, climber5, falldown,

Phew, haha!

I'm planning to try to keep up with the INT HSC, and this one, both just starting up.

So much for the Real World. I guess.

Would like to say that I'm sure it'll be "just fine", but...

Prolly a good time for us all to just stay home and ignore it, play the games!

See Ya'll Soon!!!
