+TheBF
I found this article in Wired and it made me laugh at how clever these guys are. https://www.wired.com/story/cloudflare-lava-lamps-protect-from-hackers/?mbid=social_twitter&utm_brand=wired&utm_campaign=falcon&utm_medium=social&utm_social-type=owned&utm_source=twitter
apersson850
A touch of chaos theory in that.
+mizapf
I always believed that you just need a source of Brownian motion, preferably a cup of hot tea.

Probably true but not nearly as fun as 100 Lava lamps, a pendulum and a Geiger counter.
wierd_w
Aren't reverse-biased zener diodes cheaper, and faster? https://hackaday.com/2020/05/23/a-4-bit-random-number-generator/ The circuit could be scaled up to any size bit-depth.

GDMike
Hmm. Not just Russians, but add social media selling your info. Now, i need this so they don't know who I am. Oops I need a lava lamp to get started. Couldn't I just look at my analog clock on the wall and get my random number. Bwhahaha Edited October 20, 2020 by GDMike

It's real hard to get the cats to leave the monitoring equipment alone. Also, despite being notoriously difficult to corral, their migratory paths follow predictable patterns, (at least when the monitoring equipment is not ditched within seconds of installation.) Cats really are not a good source of random--It's a common mistake to think "does not comply with ordered environments" == "Chaotic". Rather, the cats simply have no desire to comply with an externally applied source of order-- they are rather orderly within their own behavioral domain, and simply refuse any externally imposed ruleset.
