Such a good game. Never played this for points- makes those hidden treasures more appealing. I remember getting to Dracula when I was younger, but my game always froze up at the end. Sounds like an excuse, but I distinctly remember getting to the end like 3 times with it freezing. I haven't played enough this round to make it that far, but if it happens again...I have a second cart now to try it out on, hahahaha.

 

Your game was probably freezing at the Grim Reaper stage. That's a known glitch in the earlier version of the game before it was fixed.

 

The second loop gets pretty crazy with the Medusa heads. They're faster and appear much more often.

I really didn't have one except to avoid Igor and his fireballs.  I know the best strategy is to use the holy water, but I'm not good enough to get through the level without dying.  I think I'm just getting better traversing the level so that I actually have some life left for the boss and don't die with one hit.  I never owned this one and never had much time with it so small victories are satisfying.
