I didn't notice a pattern, but sometimes there will be four speedy spiders on the screen at once. And then further into the game, when I would expect things to be even more difficult, the game goes back to two spiders and things slow down for a bit. In the long run it might not make a difference but good to settle the settings before the round ends. Edit: Starting at 0, the game is very slow so easy to pick up bonus lives through the first 40K. If you play carefully, I feel like you can last much longer into the game than if you start at a higher amount of points where the game is faster and you have a harder time to make each bonus life. I reached 156091 pts starting from 0 compared to 156127 pts before starting from 30K so in the long run the difference might be marginal. It's not a bad game - I think the problem is that the difficulty doesn't ramp up fast enough to make it a challenge. I can't remember if I added a secret message like in BBSB about the warp screen - did you see anything? If not I think it's hold all the console keys Select/Option and Start to see the screen where you can start on any level! The exact same happens with my NTSC 800 which makes me wonder what is happening as SIO2SD usually can load ATR images. Does one have to put this on a physical floppy disk? Edit: For that matter, the Millipede.XEX downloaded from Fandal doesn't boot on neither my NTSC 800 nor my PAL 130XE using SIO2SD. The other Millipede 1984.XEX downloaded from AtariOnline.PL with animations on the title screen (probably not PAL fixed) boots on both.
