@BenjEdwards had proposed an electoral vote tracker late yesterday. 

 

After a bit of research and brisk coding, @mozzwald presented a PHP script that scraped the relevant data, and after an hour and a half of more brisk coding in CC65, I put together an Atari app, which is now on the fujinet.online server called election.atr. Which presents the electoral map in real-time with bar graphs. 

 

(this screenshot has test data and is not indicative of actual results)

 

 

I'll be running it here in my lab all day. It updates every 15 minutes.

Is the endpoint for the data public/available? Have a friend that would like to set something up on an classic Mac. Thanks!

While I think this #Fujinet Election Tracker is very cool, I just wanted to let everyone know that generally discussions of politics are forbidden on AtariAge.  This walks the line, and as long as people don't start talking about the candidates and/or their political views, I'm fine with leaving it.

There seems to be a problem with the election tracker. 
 

it shows Trump 214 and Biden 290, but trumps bar is flashing and it says Trump wins. 

 

Edit: I had had it running since Tuesday. I reset the fujinet and reloaded it and it is now showing the correct winner.

Yes, there was a bug that I had to hot fix. *blush* my bad

I just noticed the last update date is Oct 27?
