Eric Nikolaisen on facebook asked me to make him cases for the Atarimax SIO2PC boards. He was brave enough to send me his boards to model so I said yes.

Those are awesome!

I've been working on one for my dual port SIO2PC-USB.

I may like to incorporate some of your design into mine, if you agree of course. Do you plan to post these on Thingiverse or some other design repository?

Thanks for sharing.

There is a link in the OP

Apologies, I didn't see that it had been edited to add the link

No worries. I'm just glad he decided to share with others that need something similar.

His design has inspired me to work on the extremely basic and utilitarian design I did for my SIO2PC-USB Dual Port and try to make it look a little nicer. Maybe some XL style vents around the top or something.

Very nice.

I should have a ~15 years old Atarimax SIO2PC-USB somewhere, the first of a long list of loading devices I've bought ah ah.

If I am not wrong at the time someone made a case with Lego...

Found the images!

What holds the two halves together?
The surface finish isn’t great but that’s a printer tuning issue, the case itself seems a reasonable model, styling is a personal taste thing.

The printer I had is long gone.  I never put screws in place to hold it together, since I haven't done anything to make the LEDs visible.  So currently, a rubber band holds the case together :)  My design skills and my drawing skills are the same.  If it's not a straight line done with a ruler I can't manage.

Thanks for doing this. I was considering sending mine across, but the general situation with postal services (awful where I live) and cost put me off.

If you quote a post full of pictures, please do us all a favour and remove the pictures from the quote or we all get to see them twice and it looks like an accidental double post. :)
