It might be useful to have an MD5 sum on the binary data, which is checked before running on the '2600. If the MD5 is incorrect, then the PlusCart should not attempt to run the binary, but instead report a checksum failure on download. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There was a check if the size of the downloaded ROM is correct, but it was broken, due to changes for downloading larger ROM files.
