Local Only TNFS

Thank you for the info. I used the link you provided to get to the Windows 10 instructions.

One last question.... The last paragraph of the instructions state this:

Once you have your TNFS server working, lock it down. Create a new user that has read only access to the tnfsroot folder, then make that new user the user account that runs the task created above and uncheck "Run with highest privileges".

Is this applicable for an internal facing instance TNFS server (one that is not available to the general public via the Internet)?

Thanks!

If you have evil hackers on your local network then it would be wise to lock it down, but that's probably unlikely ;)

Hi where do i put the C:\tnfsd and C:\tnfsroot folders on my windows10 pc? desktop or in the C:\ directory of windows?

Wherever you want them, though using the \Desktop will just give you another file you might forget about and delete absent-mindedly sometime. Personally, I have mine on the root of a secondary drive (D:) and I created a shortcut to the files I want to accesses into my \Documents folder so I know where to drop new files I want to add to my FujiNet server library.
