htos_drol
Hello Apologies if I missed it, but is there any way to set up a local only TNFS server that operates within my firewall? I bookmarked the page on setting up a TNFS and it seemed as though it was geared towards establishing an online server. Many thanks!!! tsom
I followed these directions, on the FujiNet Github Wiki - https://github.com/FujiNetWIFI/fujinet-platformio/wiki/Setting-up-TNFS-on-a-Raspberry-Pi to set up a local TNFS server on a Raspberry Pi. Had it up and running in about 30 minutes. I access with the address - raspberrypi.local
htos_drol
Thank you for the info. I used the link you provided to get to the Windows 10 instructions. One last question.... The last paragraph of the instructions state this: Once you have your TNFS server working, lock it down. Create a new user that has read only access to the tnfsroot folder, then make that new user the user account that runs the task created above and uncheck "Run with highest privileges". Is this applicable for an internal facing instance TNFS server (one that is not available to the general public via the Internet)? Thanks! If you have evil hackers on your local network then it would be wise to lock it down, but that's probably unlikely

Mine is only accessible from inside my own network, so I left the permissions wide open. Come and get me!
htos_drol
Thanks for the info guys! I'm the only evil hacker on my network such that I usually hold myself for ransom! ?

Wherever you want them, though using the \Desktop will just give you another file you might forget about and delete absent-mindedly sometime. Personally, I have mine on the root of a secondary drive (D:) and I created a shortcut to the files I want to accesses into my \Documents folder so I know where to drop new files I want to add to my FujiNet server library. Back2skooldaze
Hi DrVenkman I'll give it another go but this time ill use a usb stick as an external drive . I'll put the folders in the root of the stick and then create short cuts on windows to drag and drop files.. Do i drag files to the C:/tnfsd or the tnfsroot folder?
