black screen with formerly functional vader 2600

I have a "Darth vader" 2600 that was already missing a pin in the left controller port. Tonight I connected the switch box to the back of my CRT and tested it out... and where it was functional before, it only has a black screen with a staticky 

faint line down the left side of the screen. I think what I may have done wrong was not noticing that the power switch was on when I hooked the power supply up to it. 

Does anyone know what exactly might be blown? Is this as simple as replacing a capacitor/power transistor/diode/whatever, or do I need a new RIOT or TIA?
