Newsdee
I did a small feature of the early days of computing in France as a way to give context to the Alice. Enjoy! Edited November 29, 2020 by Newsdee 3
Yoruk
Thanks for your work ! Didn't have any "Alice" machines in my collection (I'm french) but I know them for sure. Thomson was also very famous, especially for the "Informatique pour tous" plan in the 80's, in order to give access to computers in elementary schools. +x=usr(1536)
Just seeing this now, and very much enjoyed the video. Definitely enjoyed hearing more about Thomson's machines, which we never really saw in Ireland. One side note: we had one of the few Minitel terminals that were sold in Ireland. Want to say it lasted from about 1990 to 1992; not entirely certain what my parents did with it after that. Ours was purchased, not rented - I remember at least that much. high voltage
That was very enjoyable. Even the French computers were made with style.

Enjoy! Very cool. I will have to sit down and watch it as the MC-10 in a fun little machine.
