Cool.

So remember people. DON'T back up your old disks, whatever you do. Don't do it! You might find an old program like this and that would be terrible.

Trying reverse psychology. I'm not very hopeful.

Talking of Demo's, this made me look for a disk I know I've had since the 80's that I used for demo's

at our computer club, I found it and managed to get the files off, unfortunately I couldn't boot the disk

as it appears the boot sector is damage, so booting this .ATR will not work, it's just this DOS could

handle DD disks and copy the files over (with the right DOS, it will autoboot).

If you have U1M, you can boot normally, load BASIC then load the file "MENU.BAS" and run it, I particularly

like the sound demo, worth listening to all the tracks.

It also has the "BOINK" and "PISTONS" demo, run with X, although PISTONS would not run under Altirra, but

did work fine on my 130XE which is fitted with U1M too.

One demo "STEREO.COM" is only worth running on a REAL 800, if memory serves me right, it plays Stereo

music by having one channel through the TV and the other through the 800's internal speaker.

Maybe you've seen all these before, I hadn't except for BOINK, so thought I would share.

The disk boots fine in Altirra ([Ver 4.00 test 21, Atari 800, OS Rev B, 48K] and various other system setups)

BASIC needs to be disabled on boot to run PISTONS
