Championship Lode Runner

Has "Championship Lode Runner" ever been archived into an ATX file?

The atr's on the net don't seem to be correct. Most are in black and white, which means they were only sector copied.

They were protected in such a manner that it would play but look bad.

The bricks should be blue and the score should be red at the bottom of the screen on the HELLO screen.

Thanks for any help,

Doug

I don't suppose that you are running it on a system hooked up with S-video?

Those colors sound like artifacting colors.  Try it using a composite video connection and see if you get the colors back?

No, I was using Altirra.

Do you have a file of it that looks good on Altirra?

What makes you think this is due to bad deprotection?

There's an .atx file somewhere which seems to play just fine with artifacted colors, the only problem being the bricks turn out green instead of blue if you don't adjust the graphics.

I must have my setting wrong in Altirra, because when I load your file it looks Black and white but on real hardware it's fine.

Sorry for this.

Thank you very much DjayBee.

Jeff is referring to Championship Lode Runner, not Lode Runner proper.

Oh that is a good one. I was most certainly under the impression that my cart was Championship Lode Runner as well, but you are entirely right here. Very good point!

Thanks, the game gives the right colors if you play with Altirra's "artifacting phase" option.

Wow!! Thanks for that.

I think a setting close to 174 ish looks like my TV on my monitor.

Also its so easy to forget you are in PAL mode by accident, and I always set High Artifacting PAL / NTSC auto in System / video..

The phase as said is important if you want to get per box colours, A.E. is my test for that, should be blue and orangey red..
