I finally have one for my collection!

I won the Ebay auction for a Atari 2600 RomScanner new in the box, I have wanted to get one of these for at least a year. I already have the 2600 Video game brain complete in the box from RGA International.

 

Now I have a question, is there any other type of multi cartridge type of devices for the 2600 like the two I have?

I took these shots a while ago but the Game Brain is not pictured, what I want to know is are there any more than these 4 ?

Have you ever tried to connect two of these devices together? Theoretically, you could have all of your carts stored in ROM Scanners ready to be played in an instant

You would need a more powerful PSU to do that.

The funny thing about the Video Game Brain (at least the one I have, assuming that's what it is since it's not labeled as such) is that it has space for 8 slots, but you can only insert 6 cartridges. I wonder if this was done as a cost cutting factor, or for some reason they could not support 8 cartridge slots electrically? Makes me wonder if they intended 8 slots and they weren't able to support them.

Funny thing about these devices .. Some games do not work with them. I plugged all my paddle game carts into one and a few did not work. It was really trial and error.
