Recommended Posts

looking for one in great condition with the accessories, if possible. I'd rather hand you guys my money instead of some estranged ebayer :ponder:

Wow... I thought that nomad's went pretty cheap on epay..

At least cheaper than what I paid for mine. I see them all the time.. alot of times with games too.

No way I'm giving up mine!! I might not use it much, but I like it too much!! :D

Thanks for the heads up!

I was hoping for a new one, but I don't see any coming up soon. I'll probably hit on this tonight :ponder:

I will say that three very important things and once (nice to have item) come with that auction.

AC Power Adaptor

Battery Pack & Charger Adaptor

Battery Case Power Suppler

Carrying Case

The first three usually do not come with the nomad, the third is nice because of the nomad's size (and the carts). Makes it way easier to take with you on travels.

The seller cancelled bids by 2 bidders with reputations for not paying.

Good deal, BTW!

Thanks guys. Yeah we're getting a nice collection going - trying to get each sports series nailed down then racing then whatever comes our way. If anyone's selling I'm interested

Figures you just get one now, cause Wed. night I picked one up at an auction for $10!

I'll probably eBay it, as I need the money.

Oh well...

oh wow! I just got the game(in 2 days!!) and here's the kicker - I open up the box which was packed real good and the Nomad had some scratches on the screen - I thought, well this is normal I guess, and then I notice an air bubble. It turns out it's the thin plastic lining to protect the screen!! How could shes have played this with that plastic layer on it. So I peel back the plastic and the screen is perfect! happy happy! :D

Good score on the nomad. I just scored one this week myself, from a member on another board as I got tired of playing the ebay game. I'm having a blast with it.

Has anybody actually sat down and figured out which games look the best on one of these. I'm finding some games play great, but due to text size, character size, or speed make it difficult to play on the tiny screen.

Yeah... I ended up with a couple hand helds like this.

I'm loving my gp32, but man that sucker likes to attract dirt on the screen!!!

As for playable games all I know is the fast moving ones can be difficult sometimes because of the BLUR factor. But it's still a cool device. Only drawback is lugging around those bulky (for a handheld) carts.

Yeah... It's a real shame the 2600 emulator for the GP32 does not run better. It's got a way to go before it is really useable.

The atari 8-bit and ST emulators are fantastic.

As is the PCengine emulator.

SMS/Gamegear - is pretty good (screen gets a little wacky from time to time)

Colecovision - I have to try this a little more (only copied over a couple roms), but they did add sound to it, so...

Gameboy/color - Pretty good emulator. It appears to be a little slow, and doesn't play every ROM that I've tried so far. But I'm not familar with the "older" GB games so I'm not sure. Have to try them on a PC emulator to get an idea of how slow it is.

Maybe it's just me. But I like gameboy games better than the color games. Maybe it's because the color pallette is so ugly.
