Brad2600 #3 Posted August 3, 2003 That dumbass just made my hit list!! No one says that the SMS is inferior to the NES and gets away with it. The Genesis came out just before the SNES. What an idiot.
JerseyDevil #4 Posted August 4, 2003 That dumbass just made my hit list!! No one says that the SMS is inferior to the NES and gets away with it. The Genesis came out just before the SNES. What an idiot. Yeah, but ya have to admit the NES had tons more great games than the SMS. When the same games were released on both systems the SMS version was usually better. IMO, the Genesis and the SNES are both great.
Gregory DG #5 Posted August 4, 2003 What a dummy. That's what happens when you're too narrowminded.
Jasoco #6 Posted August 4, 2003 It's so funny, yet it's sad. It makes one want to find out where the person lives so you can have "words" with them. I mean, unless this person read the comments and realized he was a fucking ignorant dumbass, he still believes it to this day. I could bring up similarities between people like him and Windows Zealots, though. But I won't. I dunno. I was gonna comment but I haven't been there in a while, my account was deactivated and the email I used no longer exists and I'm too lazy to explain that to the support people or get a new name. Meh. I was hoping for more replies from people letting him have it. Somehow threre doesn't seem like a whole lot to scare the idiot away. I'm surprised he didn't post a review of the SNES mentioning how the Genesis ripped it off years later. That would have been CLASSIC.
Brian R. #7 Posted August 4, 2003 How many people want to kick some ass... I do! I do! (J&SB) Ah, uninformed opinions. Gotta love those Nintendo fans. As I recall, it was Nintendo that had the belief that gamers didn't need any more than 8 bits. It wasn't until Sega put out the Genesis and gave Nintendo a strong, swift kick in the ass that they even bothered releasing the SNES. I gotta wonder how old the person was who wrote that review. Was he/she even alive when the Genesis was released? Is this someone who grew up on later systems trying to review an older one? I hate sh!t like that. Like someone who wasn't even alive when Atari ruled the world, who grew up with an SNES, trying to review 2600 games. Gimme a break!
Brad2600 #8 Posted August 4, 2003 He must be 17 or 18 because if he knew his game history, he'd know that the Genesis came out before the SNES. Also, I like the look of some of the SMS games as compared to their NES counterparts. Don't get me wrong. I love the NES and SNES, but I switched to Sega the day my dad got me a Genesis. Haven't owned a NEW Nintendo system in a long time since.
hhwolfman #9 Posted August 4, 2003 Give em hell Rick. Ive got your back. LOL What a dumbass He should Play the game once instead of using and old review from a SNES Gaming magazine.
Brad2600 #10 Posted August 4, 2003 That's actually Brian R. you are referring to..LOL...not Rick. He shares the same avatar as Rick Weis so you are not the first one to get confused by that. Just thought I'd point it out.
hhwolfman #11 Posted August 4, 2003 OOPs I have your back to Brian I just saw the avatar and the message. Sorry about that.
Mark Wolfe #12 Posted August 4, 2003 I didn't read the article. but... We are talking about EPINIONS right? I mean it's not like he's actually PUBLISHED anywhere REAL and it is his OPINION. Why discuss, even jokeingly, about causing someone bodily harm over their opinion on a game console? [even if he didn't get his facts straight] Sheesh. It's simply laughable how any bozo [ie Ninetendo Fanboi] can write review on the internet these days. [almost as easy as getting a series on the WB] I wouldn't get a bee in my bonnet over this one fellas.
King Atari #13 Posted August 4, 2003 Some people are just morons. I like my NES and SMS equally, and my my Genesis and SNES the same as well. This guy just seems like some hyper fanboy that doesn't want to admit that a system could be good unless Nintendo released it.
Brad2600 #14 Posted August 4, 2003 If you are going to write an article on game consoles, it works in your favor to have advance knowledge of what you are writing about. At least the guy doesn't work for a reputable gaming magazine or he'd be virtually lynched.
Mark Wolfe #15 Posted August 4, 2003 At least the guy doesn't work for a reputable gaming magazine or he'd be virtually lynched. Why?
Jasoco #16 Posted August 4, 2003 Because it's an obvious lie. It's common knowledge. Even a magazine wouldn't allow that kind of mistake. And if it did, he would be lynched. The reader mail would be piled up in the warehouse. Boy would he be in trouble.
Mark Wolfe #17 Posted August 4, 2003 There is a huge diffeence between knowledge and opinion. Frankly a small mistake concerning the launch date of a given console seems a pretty lame thing to get upset over. The same holds true for someone's differeing opinion on thier fav console or game... it's all so subjective, it's not worth it.
hhwolfman #18 Posted August 4, 2003 If its not worth it, why post three times on the thread.
Mark Wolfe #19 Posted August 4, 2003 Because I think discussing things with people here is an enjoyable and refreshing thing to do. Most of the people I've come in contact with here at AA are reasonable and thoughtful people that enjoy many of the same things I do. Why the hell else would I be on a message board? King Atari #25 Posted August 4, 2003 “hi. I consider myself a extremely intelegent person. and i cant figure out why you peeple like atari so much. maybee you think atari is cool, but its knot…everyone knows atari is japaneese, but the carts looks like something from a chineese movie. if they wanted to do a style, they should have made them look like there own contry.” *SIGH* some people make me sad. Yes an intelligent person, he just can't spell. And he's not biased, he just owns a lot of Nintendo products! Absolutely hilarious stuff there! And the thing about the carts looking like they're from a Chinese movie, what the hell does that mean? Atari wasn't even Japanese in the first place. But, I'm getting worked up over an idiot. Anyways, I bet I know who wrote that epinions review! Hold on, let me go find the link...
