I need to get setup so that I can run the Michtron bbs software on the STFM and leave it going while I continue to explore on the MegaSTE or TT030. But that is not the case at the moment. The last few bbs, Turbo, and Transcendence both seem to be derivatives of ForEM ST. So I thought I would go back and look at ForEM ST. I found a full manual for ForEM ST 2.0 but I also found a .zip forem337.zip - now nothing in the zip file says "hi this is ver. 3.3.7 of Forem" .. so no idea. Anyone know what the last version of ForEM ST was? Any docs later? SO, on to my question. I am in Hatari today playing with ForEM ST and the old? way of setting it up was to change the file forem.opt now there is a sysgen.tos program that asks me a lot of the same questions to change things.. but it saves to an options.dat So.. is forem.opt even read anymore? The big issue I am having when it runs is, it wants to access drive A.. everytime no matter what I set the default to. I am setting the default in sysgen.tos. I could change it in forem.opt, but that brings me back to the question if it is reading forem.opt then why am I running sysgen.tos at all? That didn't last long before I switched to BBS Express! ST. Just felt restricted by that version of Michtron. I'd love to get a copy of MichTron v3.0 though, just to look it over. I am going through his install and found a TON of Door programs. I will have some stuff up and running soon.
