Cybergoth #1 Posted August 4, 2003 Hi there! So the dealine for the RETRO REMAKE COMPETITION SUMMER 2003 closed and there have been over 80 submissions!! There's new remakes for everything, like IO, Joust, Wizball, Antiriad, Mario Kart, Swiv, Pitfall 2, Faxanadu, Ghouls'n'nGhosts, Space Harrier, Karateka, Out Run, Mario Bros, Atlantis, Asteroids, Time Pilot, etc, etc... And I need to do an extra mentioning of the ultra-excellent more-than-perfect Windows remake of the Epyx classic Sword of Fargoal!!! Greetings, Manuel
Raijin Z #2 Posted August 4, 2003 Whoah, FaXanadu. In the words of Lord Vader, most impressive. One thing that has always bugged me, and always will... Shitty title screens and other non-sprite art. Jesus... It wouldn't be too difficult to ask for help from decent art communities. I mean, look at that horrible robot in the Berzerk remake title. I could model a better robot (like the awesome ones from the Atari art) than that, and I suck at mesh editing. Deviantart is only a few clicks away. RMila75 #3 Posted August 4, 2003 I'm assuming these remakes are all meant to run on PC?
