Almost Rice
I was hacking an adaptor to use on my wife's blinds. This is what I found around the house. After putting it together it looked so familiar, I checked my 7800 power supply. I guess we know where the molds went. Even the polarity is the same. 3
+MattelAquarius
Based on the part number, it was a DVE supply all along? DVE DV-91A Edit: The same part number is listed on both of the pictured power supplies.
+batari
DVE DV-91A brings up countless power supplies for other applications. Like this white one for some old Packard Bell PC speakers:

Never noticed it was similar to the 7800
John Stamos Mullet
cool. These can be had for $8 on Amazon/eBay. Much better than $30-$40 the typical retro gaming price gougers are charging for the same thing with the Atari logo on it.

Have one from an old 7800 PSU that died, that I cannibalized and connected to a female barrel end plug adapter like this one:

DidSomeoneSayAtari?
If I have this pigtail from Console 5 and this power adapter 9v 1.5a with an led supply end on it I have a 7800 power supply right?
John Stamos Mullet
Update to this: I did end up ordering one of these DVE power supplies, and used my 7800-to-barrel end plug adapter - and the system is way more stable now. It was occasionally glitchy before, even when using a 10v, 1.25Amp PW supply I had laying around. The brick on it was smaller and lighter, and I think the wattage might be lower but I can't tell, it's not listed on it. Anyway - these DVE PW supplies are great. You just have to make sure you have a 7800 style end laying around to cannibalize.
