olix
In the V3 Install-Diagram is no switch in the A4 Line to set Stereo on/off. Is it possible to use a switch here, like in the V2 Version?

olix
If i connect only A4 and set A5-A7 to ground, can i use anyway the configuration tool (pokeycfg)?
foft
Yes this is enough for the config tool.
Duddie
Hi guys, I am not able to make more PokeyMAXes now. Chips are not available on the market, at least at reasonable price. It may take some months till they become available.
patjomki
Are there any quad pokey tmc2 songs for download somewhere? I want to use them as a showcase on Pokeymax for a C64 friend of mine. ?
RamsesUTL
Any news on a new batch of PokeyMAX? I could really use one
Duddie
No chance for v3. V2 may be produced, but price would be around 90 eur....
RamsesUTL
I'm just looking for a good stereo solution that works well with the Ultimate1MB and SIDE3, so if the PokeyMAX v2 does that I would gladly take one.
jirkoo
@Duddie when might it be possible to order V2?
Panther
If I leave out the VBXE plugin then I don't need the palette.dat file, but I get an error message such as: @ dta Item[0] (0,Next,Title,ItemType.OnOffXOR,ConfigBuf[0].Aux2,$08) plugin.s (312) ERROR: Label name required

Panther
This time I do mean to post to this thread! I'm having difficulty with a PokeyMAX 3 on an 800. Multiple keys stop working on the Atari keyboard when the PokeyMAX 3 is installed. I tested it on a 130XE and everything worked fine. Has anyone else had trouble with this? Panther
Perhaps I should instead ask, has anyone else installed a PokeyMAX 3 in an 800?
flashjazzcat
I tried a PokeyMAX 2 in an Incognito 800 and it started behaving strangely (keyboard problems, etc), so I removed it.
foft
Also confirmed on my 800 incognito. Will update when I work out what is going on.
foft
Well, this is KR1. Quite a long spurious pulse on KR1. Pokey samples relatively late I guess so does not notice this. Pokeymax v1,v2 and v3 have an IO expander for the keyboard and reads as soon as the line changes. I think we'll have to workaround this by adding a stronger pull-up on KR1. Checking that. 3
foft
Tested workaround: Solder a 1.8k resistor between pin 17 (5v) and 25(kr1) of pokeymax. Put a bit of insulating tape on it so it doesn’t short on the metal shield. Probably better to remove the keyboard line capacitors, which make the glitch last so long. However that is more to do and a mod to the 800 main board itself.

foft
Might be better with a slightly larger resistor... edit: 2.7k also good Edited March 12, 2022 by foft
flashjazzcat
Understood. Did you see this, BTW? 1
Panther
This works perfectly for me on my 800 with a 2.7K ohm resistor. Thank you so very much!
