This time I do mean to post to this thread!

I'm having difficulty with a PokeyMAX 3 on an 800.  Multiple keys stop working on the Atari keyboard when the PokeyMAX 3 is installed.  I tested it on a 130XE and everything worked fine.  Has anyone else had trouble with this?

Well, this is KR1.

Quite a long spurious pulse on KR1. Pokey samples relatively late I guess so does not notice this. Pokeymax v1,v2 and v3 have an IO expander for the keyboard and reads as soon as the line changes. I think we'll have to workaround this by adding a stronger pull-up on KR1. Checking that.

Tested workaround:

Solder a 1.8k resistor between pin 17 (5v) and 25(kr1) of pokeymax. Put a bit of insulating tape on it so it doesn’t short on the metal shield.

Probably better to remove the keyboard line capacitors, which make the glitch last so long. However that is more to do and a mod to the 800 main board itself.
