Graphics Critique Request

Hey all. Does this look anything like a Bonsai tree?

I think it needs to be "flatter". All constructive criticism is appreciated.

 

Working on this for the title screen in a prototype game.

It definitely looks like a tree, and the little pot on the bottom sort of suggests obliquely that it is a bonsai tree -- but I only got that impression after you mentioned it.

 

I think, like you, that if it were a little "flatter," perhaps stretching horizontally, it would resemble a bonsai more.  I would remove the top set of of branches and foliage, and see how that goes.

Perhaps another branch stretching a bit to the left side may help too.

looks good, but when I think of a banzai tree, I think of a long and curved, or a big fat tree bark 

 

So, needs more bark ? ?

Agreed.  A thicker trunk at the base could help.
