Keyboard component at Consumer Electronics Shows video

Recommended Posts

Consumer electronics show on youtube labelled 1982  mostly in german

I thought it was 79' but Mel Brooks History of the world is on laserdisc and that came out in 81'

Two small clips of the keyboard component , can hear Jack Lalanne in the background on the first one

Go to  21.15  &  26.05 , in the video for KC

22.28  for some screen shots of intellivision games

Best thing next to being there , lots of retro tech and bad fashion .....

I just watched the first 5 minutes. Activision and Compact Disc were also not around in 1979. 1982 seems to be legit.

Not to mention that the Keyboard Component wasn't around in 1979. And the Master Component didn't make it to retail shelves until early 1980.

We can hear a fragment of one of Jack LaLanne's pep talks (for Exercise Cassette) in the background here. Neat!

At 25:22 "Big video brother is watching you"  😄

At 26:32, it looks like a Mattel Managing Director is giving his sales pitch (narrator briefly introduces him before this time mark).  However, it is in German.  It would be awesome to know what he is saying in English, especially from a historical perspective.

That's the Manager of Mattel Electronics Germany.

He says that they want to sell the Intellivision through TV/Radio stores. And that with it's add ons it will be a PC good for learning, like languages etc.
