Atari Jaguar + CD + Games - Everything must go!!!

I have the following Atari Jaguar items / games for sale (I will be updating this periodically as I post the auctions)... note, I am adding them in the order I take them out of the box. It will likely take me forever. I have *EVERY* Atari Jaguar game except GORF and BLACKLIGHT. Also... my copy of BATTLESPHERE Gold is also a Reproduction (full disclosure). All games were purchased new by me. Vast majority of them are in 9.5 out of 10 condition. A couple of them (like Brutal Sports) are average... all games are totally complete with box, insert, and manual, and overlay if available. I also have several of the reproduction overlays that I will be including along with the game it's meant for. I'm trying to be fair with my prices, but I'm also a Capitalist... and also a huge fan of the Washington Capitals.

Man... you guys are buying them faster than I can put them up for sale... lol... I'm sure you guys understand why I am sad! hahaha... I'll get them shipped out tonight or tomorrow morning.

When everything is sold, I'll update the list above to let everyone know what I got for every game, not to show off or anything, but to give an idea of what the games sold for / value. I made all my games very competitive. I looked at all games available, looked for the lowest price one on eBay that most closely matched my condition (new, CIB, etc.) and then marked mine down usually about 10% less for a quick sale.

 

I started putting them up on the 12th (even though this post was from the 9th) and most of them have sold pretty quickly. I'm going to stay in the Jaguar community and maybe even buy a couple of games now and then, but decided I simply can't just buy every dick and jane game that comes out.

Guys... thought long and hard about it (1st world problems). I'm definitely going to part with my Jaguar.

I realize that as much as I love these games... especially some of the home brews and some of the originals... the fact is that I just don't have the time to play them.

 

(theatrical pause... 10 seconds)

 

I played my Jaguar a lot back in the late 90s and early 2000s. It was / is a fantastic system... (emotional exhale) and I love the games.

But within the past 10 years ... I've maybe played a total of ~30 hours of game time.

 

(Adagio for strings gets more emotional)

 

I've come to the realization that I'm 42 years old.

 

(dramatic pause...)

 

I have over 240 games I've purchased on Good ole' Games, along with two case-logic sleeves of ~400 CDs and DVDs of games that I've collected over the years. I even have everything I played on my 8088 from the early 1980s. I haven't played those either.

 

With a family, strong career ambitions, and a desire to take over the world... I am reluctantly selling my Atari Jaguar system and all the games.

 

 

I've decided that I'm going to start listing them on eBay in the next few weeks. I intend to catalog all of my games and various components, and then list them for sale. They will be competitively priced... which means that I will list them for reasonable prices. Do understand that I am a hard-core capitalist, so there will be no equity, diversity, or inclusion considered in my decision making. I'm driven by cold hard cash.

But I am not without any morals and ethics... I fully intend to spend at least a portion of the money buying VCS games as they show up in the marketplace.

Keep the Jaguar system and your favorite games, so if you ever get the urge you will not beat yourself up over it.

I’m a bit confused by some of the prices. Doesn’t Robinson’s Requiem sell for $60 new from @Songbird? Doesn’t Towers II sell for $100? I guess the latter is the Telegames reissue, but does the original run really go for $400?

 

I’d love the Orion Jaguar Collection as that was one I was hoping to get from Gaz before he closed up shop, but the buy it now price is a bit too high for me.

Before I put any of these games up, I check eBay and the AtariAge store for games that are currently selling.

 

Robinson's Requiem is selling new for $60, that's why I have mine for sale at $44.95. I never played mine, it's completely brand new... so that's a really good price.

 

I don't see Towers II for sale anywhere... I literally can't find it anywhere, I checked. I paid $54.95 for it back in 2003.

Not trying to be a jerk, but I'm not a charity... at least not with video games. Actually, that's not true... about 10 years ago, I basically gave away half my video game collection (for free) to whoever responded first on Atari Age. I gave 100s of games and systems away for free. As for charity, I sponsor 4 kids through World Vision. Two in Kenya, one in India, and one in Thailand. But right here... full blooded capitalist!

 

If it helps, you'll be paying for my daughters 529 College Education account.

I'm a self-taught watch restorer. I've probably restored and sold over 100+ vintage watches. I have all the tools, rebuild all the movements, and then turn around and sell them. It's really just for fun, but it actually has resulted in a lot of extra disposable income. I also buy new watches from the grey market, review them, and then turn around and sell them (usually at very little increase in price).

 

If you're interested at all in watches, definitely check out the channel. I also do review of some cheap Chinese watches too... haha...

I was looking at the buy it now price of Robinson’s Requiem, which is the same price it sells for new. If somebody gets it for $45 that would be a decent deal. I am probably just going to buy a new copy from Songbird to help fund future releases.

Songbird sells it for $130 when it’s in stock, which it is a few times a year. I believe the original run is considered more desirable, I would just be surprised if it went for that much.

 

Obviously anybody can sell anything they want for any price they want. I just was wondering if there was a reason for those prices.

 

I am considering the Orion Jaguar Collection for $100, but I bet it will sell for more and I probably can’t justify it. I might put in a bid but will probably just cross my fingers and hope that somebody makes more someday. I really wanna play it but I should have a Skunkboard or a Gamedrive to play the freeware download at some point this year.

For all of my games, I've checked eBay and every online store that I could find. I then look for the "competitive" price on eBay, and then list mine below that price.

 

But to be sure, you shouldn't be comparing my "Buy It Now" price with the price of a game in the store. You should be comparing the starting bid price... because a lot of my games will sell at the bid price, and not the buy it now.

For the people who bought a bunch of games last night. We're snowed in in San Antonio, so I won't be able to get them shipped out until the roads thaw out and I can make it to the post office. If you see a USPS Tracking Number, that's only because I printed a label at home, but it has not yet made it to the post office. I have listed these as : SOLD / Pending

 

All the other games that are listed as SHIPPED, those have been dropped off at the post office. Most of them are already on their way, but some may not have left yet due to the mail being stopped as well... but they're at the post office.

 

For all the games, I'm paying for the additional insurance. Thanks!
