old computer parts used for movie props

I was watching a old Star Trek: The Next Generation, specifically the episode called 'A fistful of datas'.

 

at the beginning I noticed a move prop and it has 3 face plates from 5.25 floppy drives.

 

What else is out there I wonder that parts have been used to create something else.

Yes, 5 1/4" Floppy drives, were a nearly essential component in most plans for world domination in the mid '80s.:ponder:
