@Vocelli Just looking for a settings clarification. Millipede allows you to start a game starting with many points (up to 990,000), and I noticed that "continues allowed" is mentioned in the settings above. Is submitting a score where we start at something other than 0 points allowed? I would assume it is yes, and wanted to make sure (unless I missed where the was already specifically answered)

** edit **

Answered. The maximum starting score is 300K (thanks, @kermit73), and the settings as indicated in the game posting make it obvious that continues are allowed, so I take that to mean you can start at any score the game allows you to.

I'd wondered the same thing about the rules and have been under the same assumption that "continues allowed" means we can start at any score the game has enabled.  It's been forever since I've played this game, but I'm recalling that the starting points caps at 300,000 if you're good enough to score that high on your initial game or if you do enough continues to get to that point.  I think this makes the "continues allowed" and "start at any score" rule reasonable since the game won't allow us to continue until the starting score is just below 1M, when it likely rolls over.

Millipede: 982389

Donkey Kong Junior: 11400

The starting score of my Millipede game was 285k, so if I'm not interpreting the "continues allowed" rule correctly, this doesn't count.

Once my hand recovers, I'll probably keep playing to see if I can get that 1M (likely a rollover).  I may start future games at 0 so if I get another score like this, I have something I can submit to Twin Galaxies.

After starting at 0, I got 20k, but then starting at 30k, I ended up with a higher increase. So I suppose I proved to myself I earned that starting score. Also, how about the Pac-Man sounds when that worm(?) comes out. This game is a symphony of beeps and boops.

Millipede- 55,209

I feel like for DK Jr., once you have a high score to beat, it becomes luck waiting for the game to "give" you a starting screen that you can rush through in order to have a shot at beating your score. If you have to wait around for an enemy on that first screen, goodbye.

Donkey Kong Jr.- 2 screen bonus challenge- 11,300

DK Jr. for the 2600 is like WarGames- The only winning move is not to play.

You are correct and I was inaccurate. 300K is the maximum according to the manual.

I played some more Millipede today and did hit the rollover at 1M.  The final score was a little more than 1.3M which is a new world record, pending approval at Twin Galaxies.

I've managed 11400 twice on Donkey Kong Junior and think I'm done with this game (or I might wear out the "game reset" switch on my console).  I think 11500+ is doable.  In the first game, I had 5700 after the first round, but with the second game the first round score was 5600.  If I could get a RNG friendly enough to set me up with the best first round and best second round from both these games, I'd have had 11500.

I've posted videos for both games on YouTube.
