mimo
So Xmas 1980 cost my parents about £1500 by today's standards. No idea how they could have afforded that, and I probably didn't understand how hard it was for them to buy stuff for us. My mum has told me the story of her and my dad eating bread and jam for a month because my two brothers and I needed new school shoes. I guess the investment paid off though as we all work in the IT industry in some form
Mclaneinc
I'd guess a majority of us have had IT connections as work..Don't really miss it..
TGB1718
@E474 thanks for the scans, I was particularly interested in the Parallel Printer Interface, I made one of those and got as far as getting 10 Pre-Production models made, all of which sold immediately, but the chap who was going to market it said he didn't think it would sell enough and pulled out, I was in the RAF at the time and couldn't do the marketing side myself, so ended up dropping the whole thing. Suspiciously that looks remarkably similar to the one I made. I could be wrong, but the time is right.
