Retro joystick question

Just got an ArcadeR from RetroRadionlcs. The fire button function is only momentary and does not sustain. Can that be fixed?

As in only provides a pulse instead of reading continuously pressed?

Does it have a slide switch somewhere?  Some old sticks used generic 74LS chips to generate autofire and had the option to turn it off.

 

Otherwise I'd say yes it could be fixed but would involve opening up and modifying.

ah when you hold it down it gives a pulse not a continual press? does it pulse repeatedly like autofire? look for switches on the stick

There is a repeating pulse, but it is not uniform.I tested the button and it does not drop out. The interface is electronic, I did not know this before ordering.The way I found this was in Crystal Raider when you fly up you can’t.

Update:there is a switch to fix that.There is no documentation with the stick.
