+9640News
Creating this topic for users to post the URL for Telnet accessible BBS's. Two BBS's are currently running the AfterHours BBS program with the TIPI allowing Telnet access. Both of these boards have approximately 3000 files that can be downloaded via Xmodem such as using the TI-99/4A MXT TIPI client at http://ftp.whtech.com/TIPI/MXT if using the URLx. capability of the TIPI. The two BBS's are: TheKeep.net at Port 9918 MyTbox99.ddns.net at Port 61643 (this BBS is predominantly German) There are also three other BBS's supporting the TI-99/4A and Geneve. Heatwave runs on a Geneve and has a fair amount of message traffic at: Heatwave.ddns.net at Port 9640 There is also two other BBS's running on non-TI equipment at: TheKeep.net at port 23 FusionBBS.ddns.net at port 9640 FusionBBS above has archives of Yahoogroups for the TI-99/4A and archives of comp.sys.ti if anyone goes looking for those messages.
+9640News
While the above BBS's are telnet accessible and we have telnet clients for the TI-99/4A and Geneve 9640, you can just as easily access the BBS's above through a Windows Telnet Client or any other telnet client. For Windows, the easiest is to just go to the Start Menu and "Search" for Telnet and click on the option. From there at the command line, you just type the "o" <space > url <space> port number. As an example, o TheKeep.net 9918 The "o" for open, "TheKeep.net" is the URL, and "9918" is the port number. Enjoy. 2

+arcadeshopper
With heatwave down I figured a gentle reminder that there are other TI BBS's online You can access these after hours bbs's with telnet: TheKeep.net at Port 9918 MyTbox99.ddns.net at Port 61643 (this BBS is predominantly German) You can access my main worldgroup BBS The KEEP BBS at thekeep.net:23 and also via modem at (503) 852-3170 once you create an account/login you can use dialout to access the hidden reef BBS which is modem only (except if you are using my modem, only have one online right now..) /go dialout at any menu and then D1 to dial hidden reef.. NOTE: The KEEP requires actual info during signup so expect that requirement, name address and phone .. if you put in fake info it will automatically suspend the account.. FusionBBS.ddns.net at port 9640 FusionBBS above has archives of Yahoogroups for the TI-99/4A and archives of comp.sys.ti if anyone goes looking for those messages.
