TMR #2 Posted August 10, 2003 Jason, check your emails... everything is fine!!! it was my damned old hardware which produced the "RMT crickles"... i'll sent you screenshots taken from my tv with my better digi cam... so check your emails... i haven't had my first coffee of the morning yet, but i've got the emails and had a very close look at where the joins are and i can't see problems so i'm a happy bunny! Ta very much for testing 'em! =-) And the sound problem being sorted is even better, now i can give a few more members of Cosine the thumbs up about using RMT... =-)

TMR #4 Posted August 10, 2003 Roughly what i thought... now, anyone know how i crunch this thing for release...? =-)
emkay #5 Posted August 10, 2003 I would ever be patient to use RMT after all... The Emulation IS still buggy and the RMT has some design-bugs too. To help in your achievement of POKEY programming, here is a Test Song (Goldrunner Melody) which shows alternate AUDCTL settings and Channel-combinations... It is 100% real HW compliant. But some techniques like 1,79MHz sounding and 16 Bit channel-joining are heaviely buggy. So with this song you can see, which techniques are still portable from emulation to real hardware. And you can hear how buggy the SAP is..
Bryan #6 Posted August 11, 2003 What we need is a good quality diagram of Pokey's internals, so a correct (for all settings) emulator can be designed. I've only seen very poor quality reproductions. -Bry
TMR #7 Posted August 11, 2003 Since i have me own thread here, might as well use it to say that i'm not going to be about for a few days - off to my parents' place and only a 56K modem down there and three kids to keep busy! So i'll be back to make a nuisance of myself on Thursday or possibly Friday... =-) One random thing that crossed my mind whilst wading through a Plus/4 site is that a game like Starforce Nova but with better graphics should be do-able, it doesn't use any sprites since the Plus/4 doesn't have 'em but looks pretty solid... Heaven/TQA #8 Posted August 11, 2003 @ TMR have fun... with 56k + kiddies + parents... no just kidding... it's unbelievable how many you have done with kids + family and not familiar with atari... this is a good example what the rest should do... (me included...) regarding crunchers. we use taquart's flashpack 2.1 for "realtime depacking" or i used in the past "superpack" from bewesoft for crunching "while game loaded by dos"... you should get familiar with them.... more info: http://www.s-direktnet.de/homepages/k_nadj...shpack_demo.zip http://www.s-direktnet.de/homepages/k_nadj...rog/packers.zip hve/tqa

sack-c0s #14 Posted August 12, 2003 cheers I've nailed the virus on one machine and found a seemingly undocumented variant on another. Edit: It's not undocumented it's just AVG who don't know about it. those pricks are just so far out of the fucking loop on the virus front it's unreal!
