SS
The LED on this otherwise great condition Stackpole keyboard is missing. Not really the biggest of deals but I'd still kind of like it to be there. Anyone have any experience in replacing them and what I might need in order to go about doing it? Thanks. EDIT - I am also short one keyboard screw. Any ideas on what specific size I would need to order? Edited March 29, 2021 by SS
Sugarland
There is someone on ebay who has been replacing them with gaudy super bright blue LEDs. He might have saved some of the original red ones. I think he is probably a regular here. ? I have two non-working Stackpole machines I could grab an LED if no one has one already removed. Pretty sure you can get a modern LED that will work, too. Edited March 29, 2021 by Sugarland
Sugarland
To answer your original question, iirc, it's a rather tall LED that is soldered into a PCB. Should be an easy install.
Sugarland
Did you get a replacement? Do you have a soldering iron?
