Player One Posted March 30, 2021 Share Posted March 30, 2021 9550 I had hard time controlling Q*bert. Sometimes I could get him to move quickly but other times either there was a delay or it went the wrong direction. (The latter could be my fault: pressing SSW instead of SW for example.) I thought maybe my controllers are worn out so I tried Open Emu on my Mac (High Sierra 10.13.6) and ran into the same problem as @cparsley. I played for about two seconds before quitting. I'm looking into trying to get it to run on MAME or JZINTV but I'm not too good using the terminal (command line.) mr_me Posted March 30, 2021 Share Posted March 30, 2021 SSW, SW, and WSW would all produce the same diagonal. Twelve of the sixteen directions are mapped to the four qbert movements so it should be hard to miss using the disc. When changing level (every 4 rounds) you will have this music. In the arcade version, and other console, you usually have a quick intermission showing you what to do for the next level.
