Shift838 #1 Posted April 1 (edited) I'm getting ready to order a PCB that has +5v, -5v and +12v connections. My question is what should the trace width be for the +12v line? for my +5v I have always done between 10 and 15 mils. But on this board I have set them all the voltage lines to 20 mil. so is 20 mils for the voltage lines good (especially for the +12v) or should it be larger? i'm thinking bigger? +dhe #2 Posted April 1 I don't know the answer to your question, but I know when I ordered the switching power supply PCB, they have an option of 'weight' - Might that factor in also?

I know there's tons of calculators online, but this has always been my go to for supply lines (had to find the website again). https://www.mclpcb.com/pcb-trace-width-vs-current-table/
