what is the difference between the KB made in Japan and the one made in Taiwan ?

Japan:  Uses superior inks in the creation of the label.  Both the printing of the label, and the dot-matrix print of the model, serial and FCC id are darker and more robust.  However, Japan used the outdated method (and skewed print) of rubber-stamping the serial number.

Taiwan:  Inks are lighter in color, but they used their noggins to print the serial number instead of rubber stamping it.

Did I pass the test? :)

Perhaps, but... The labels do say “Printed in the U.S.A.”.

Yes, the labels say printed in the USA, but can we verify that they weren't then shipped off to Japan or Taiwan where the additional information was printed and then affixed to the 'Made in Taiwan/Japan' shell?
