+Andrew Davie Posted April 3, 2021 Share Posted April 3, 2021 (edited) Here's a quick demo using ChronoColour™ as a full-screen playfield and 8-directional scrolling with acceleration and single-pixel resolution. Running on actual hardware. The shimmer is a bit much unless you stand back from the TV, mostly because of all the single-pixels in the dirt, but at least we can see what it would look like. I guess you'd get used to it. Anyway, possibly another "first" for the platform. +Andrew Davie Posted April 3, 2021 Author Share Posted April 3, 2021 I put a toggle on the Colour/B&W switch so that I could flip between ChronoColour and the original colour system as used in Boulder Dash(TM). Little doubt, for the BD game at least, the display looks much more gorgeous in the original method. In the video I flip the switch a few seconds in.
