N: SSH demo

Recommended Posts

Yes, I setup it in netcat directly. I created even additional system user to be sure that there is nothing wrong with login process. I will try to start ssh daemon in debugging mode to see where communication is stop working.

After starting ssh daemon in debugging mode I see where is issue. Atari is not case sensitive but Linux is so providing login details in capital letters caused that Linux was unable to authorise my ssh connection.

Next time I need to remember to hit "Caps" button before I type username and password.

I agree with that.

Other solution is to change behaviour in netcat so when it will ask for login/password, letters will switch to small one. I think that in 99.9% of *nix systems (I don't know any distribution with have it in different way, but maybe someone created one), default setup is small letters so writing password like "1234AtarI567" will naturally require to use SHIFT button.
