You really can't play Starmaster on the Flashback X?

There's no B&W/Color switch, and apparently that was the _only_ switch used to call up the Galactic Map.

 

Even Space Shuttle considered there might not be such a switch...is there really no way to play?

try holding select on the console and pushing up on the controller.

It works for the secret quest status screen.

I tried this for Starmaster and Riddle of the Sphinx on my Flashback 9 and no workie ?

I just recently found out it worked on secret quest. I havent tried any other games, sorry man.

It took disassembling StarMaster (and teaching myself 6502 opcodes) to figure out that selecting the Galactic Map can be achieved by *any* of:

 

B&W/Color

Left Difficulty

Right Difficulty

 

There's a reason the manual says to leave the latter two alone. 

 

...and for the love of all that's holy, it even _comes with the system_ and I never noticed *sigh*
