treetsux #1 Posted August 12, 2003 on 7/14/03 I sold a large item that i said pickup only. i said it must be picked up by aug 21 because i am moving and i will not have a place to store it. (this is 100% true). problem is, the buyer has still not notified me when they will be picking it up. every week, i sent an email checking on if they had a daye setup to get it, and they would say something like 'i should know tommarrow night' but i never heard anything however, last week they paid me in full, so this isnt so much a deadbeat bidder. when aug 21 comes around, and they have not picked it up, what do i do? sku_u #2 Posted August 12, 2003 Wait until August 21st first. If it was paid for, the person will probably pick it up, even if it is at the last minute. If the person does not pick it up by the 21st, tell him/her that the item will be donated to a local charity, refund their money and leave them negative feedback. +davidcalgary29 #3 Posted August 12, 2003 ...but if you do get rid of it, you may be sued by the tardy buyer -- and held to be liable for the replacement costs of the item. You did accept payment, after all. I'd return payment via PayPal, and tell the buyer that you'll accept cash when (s)he picks it up. If the buyer doesn't pick it up, I'd take the system with you...just in case.

holygrailvideogames.com #5 Posted August 12, 2003 I would try contacting them by phone. Do they live near you or are they out of state?
