Rainbow demo in new programming language

Hello, 2600 fans! I am developing a new programming language, that I am now targeting at the 2600. The first target was the Atari 400/800/XL/XE, my old machine. Here is a rainbow demo that I ported from the Atari 8-bit version:

It shows that the new language is small and fast enough to race the beam. It generates 286 scanlines, achieving a display frequency of 55Hz. This is inbetween PAL/SECAM and NTSC, so it will work on all of them, if you have a tolerant television set.
