Another example where margin of victory turns a not so good game into something pretty fun. I actually DO kinda like this, but I imagine most wouldn't. Game 7-999/585, margin of 414(?) fakecortex Posted May 6, 2021 Share Posted May 6, 2021 Not such a big fan of game 3- Frank’s helicopter pisses me off, always knockin me around, making those irritating noises. Game 7 on the other hand is pretty fun and I could see having been sold as a solo game. And I like finishing it without ever hearing that loud buzz. Just like real life operation. The board game. Not real operations. But I’m no doctor, so who knows. Game 3: +123 I’ll try, but not sure if I’ll do much better with all those trees in my way. Game 7: +318 I already feel pretty fast at this, so it’s crazy to think of going faster. kermit73 Posted May 6, 2021 Share Posted May 6, 2021 M*A*S*H Game 3: +627 (999-372) Game 7: +528 (999-471) For Game #3, one strategy I used was to try to prevent the computer player from scoring since your goal is to minimize its score even if it takes you a little longer to get your score to the 999. If you can make the computer helicopter crash, that can be very helpful (in my best game, I got it to crash twice in the opening round). For the surgery round, there is a bit of luck involved since you're hoping the RNG provides shrapnel in places that both earn the most points and can be extracted efficiently. Other than having a steady hand, I don't have much advice to offer for this round. I found this game surprisingly fun to play. I remember stumbling across a video of the operating room round several months ago and thinking that it was a pretty silly game. I was unaware that there was more to this game than the operating room, and overall, this game far exceeded my expectations. Both games are in the same YouTube video. Game #3 is first (and the video quality on the operating room rounds is terrible). Rogerpoco Posted May 6, 2021 Share Posted May 6, 2021 (edited) @fakecortex - Hey-I know you play some Coleco, too-check the Operating Room stuff out on that, it's GREAT, if you happen to like the Operating Room thing(I do...). Doesn't top out at 999, you get full points for your last procedure, so can be "mathed out" for a good score. 2600 IS my Love, Guys, I even kinda fell out of the INT tourney to make sure to keep up here, I'd planned to keep up all season, will play there some, but not all games-I really DO like to play it all tho, especially stuff like this, being able to compare same games on different systems. To me-no one System really "wins", sometimes "x" game is good on "x" platform, sometimes it's better/worse on other ports, depends on the game more than the system. *Edit* I was gonna say, the Coleco looks a little more like a real person, but the 2600 dude looks an AWFULLY lot like my Brother in Law Dan, the one capable of picking up an arcade machine by himself, for those that know that story...
