2600 VCS 6-Switch - "Wobbly" Switches

Hello All,

OK this one had me stumped.  I have a few Atari 2600 light 6'ers that have a strange phenomenon.  When I take them apart the switches are well-soldered and work perfectly.  When I put the console back together the switches work but you have to grab them close to the base/case, otherwise they "bend" in.  I know its the mounting board that itself that is bending, but this is annoying and I was wondering if anyone else came across this and had a fix?  Thanks!

Sounds like you may not have re-cased it correctly.

Sometime when you re-case equipment after servicing it can look like you have put it back correctly until you use it then you find problems. Often because something is slightly misaligned and so may be sitting on top of something when it should not be, i.e. on the edge of a recess instead of inside it or a screw/support that would secure the PCB and stop if flexing/being depressed is missing/broken.

So try taking in apart again and having a look for something like that.
