rietveld Posted May 17, 2021 Share Posted May 17, 2021 Just have a few questions about the Megacopy since the IDE setup uses the 2nd DDP memory location does that mean i can pop the 2nd DDP back in my Adam but only connect it to the MegaCopy board and not from the board to the adam? The Megacopy plugs into the ADAM where data drive #2 ordinarily plugs in and then data drive #2 plugs into the Megacopy...so basically they are daisy-chained. You need two data drives because Megacopy by itself does not actually format a cassette tape. It copies the formatting from a ddp in drive #1 to the blank tape in drive #2. No. You will need a center directory tape (SmartBASIC or similar) to format CD tapes and a right directory tape (Buck Rogers or similar) to format RD tapes.
