vnrCEO
They have a similar 9 pin connector as far as I can tell... Does anyone have any experience trying this out? -s
alex_79
They're not compatible, and it's better not trying to plug them into an Atari, as Power and Gnd are on different pins and you risk shorting something. http://wiki.icomp.de/wiki/DE-9_Paddle 1
BassGuitari
Apple controllers (aside from the earlier 16-pin ones that connect directly to the motherboard) have DB-9 male connectors, which is what Atari controller jacks are. You can't even plug them in.
bluejay
Like what alex and bass said, both pinout and gender is incorrect, so it won't work. I've checked schematics, and Apple II paddles use 150k ohm pots while Atari paddles use 1 megaohm pots. So yeah, even if you built a simple adapter, it wouldn't work correctly.
