Thomas Jentzsch
Disable ZP RAM randomization in Developer settings. 6.4 and 6.5.1 behave identical here, your settings are just different. 1

That's case, I upgraded to 6.4 from 6.1 which I did not check these settings.. thanks!
Superkitten
Worked for me, too. Thanks! I have three versions of this and didn't know what it was until now. The first version still doesn't run (04-22-83), but (05-02-83) and (05-25-83) do, though not playable aside from just moving the sprite and exploring, but a nice peek into the process - being that Warren built an explorable map and placed the sprites in it, but had apparently not yet programmed it so that they could interact. Question: Does disabling this ZP RAM randomization affect anything? As in, should I turn it back on after I'm done peeking at this rom?

The settings helps identifying ROMs which do not clear the ZP and therefore might not work on real hardware. You enable or disable it as you like. Interesting, so it's used by developers to identify which roms clear the ZP and will run on the real hardware? To help me follow this properly, I loaded elf adventure on Harmony and confirmed that it does not run on real hardware.
