+Stephen
Sounds good - what is the sample / replay rate?
ivop
Love it! Having fixed samples for each note does not have the versatility of a MOD tracker, but you solve the problem of resampling and the inherent hiss and aliasing. This won't work for slow songs with long notes that modulate during their playing time, but it works great for songs with all 8th and 16th notes with corresponding samples. Seems like it runs at three samples/channels per scanline. You also avoid the 16-bit math that is needed for a softsynth like atarisid. If all your samples are aligned to their replay length (either an eighth or a sixteenth note), you don't even need to check for the end of the sample, because the replay routine takes care of that by setting a new sample (which could also be silence). VinsCool
This is seriously incredible. That sounds way too good for being Atari 8-bit! Is there any sort of tool that lets the end user to make their own music this way or is this too powerful for the mortals to comprehend? ?

ivop
I liked the first track more. It had way clearer samples and less noise. The file format might be better, but it all stands or falls by the quality of the samples
xxl
You're right, it all depends on the quality of the samples ... I'm trying to get one musician to compose and rock something especially for this editor.
Paul Westphal
Can't wait for that! Until then, I'll do a video of this for my Youtube channel. Damn Impressive.
