Isn't that revealed by the "Subscriber" tag under your profile pic? :)

No.  Something like $35 per year.

It's $30 per year or $50 for two years.  This nets you a longer post edit window, more space for your private messages, the "Subscriber" badge, a 5% discount in the AtariAge Store, and other benefits.  I won't hide any important functionality behind subscriptions.  They do help cover the considerable expense in running AtariAge (about $500 a month), so they are greatly appreciated.  I haven't really pushed them very hard, but I should probably make them more visible and a bit easier to find.  I just don't want to bash people over the head with them.  :)

I pay $50 every 2 years, which amounts to ~$2.08 per month. I used to pay $30 every other year, but this forum is so much a part of my life and everyday enjoyment that a regular subscription is a no-brainer.

I did as well the 2 year thing as I recall.  It is a small price to pay to keep in contact and continue to learn.

Yeah, this is why I need to make some minimal effort to promote the subscriptions.

Thank you for buying a subscription!

I don't read email, I search it. So thankfully this thread helped me notice my subscription had lapsed.

Posted (edited)

When I can start to pay for CL99, I'll get rt with the forum. I use both, oh. The drinks are free.

I sometimes subscribe for one or two years - but sometimes forget to renew.

I think a random $5 charge would confuse me.  I already have to watch out for FreedomPop trying to charge me for their "Free" phone service which I stopped using years ago.

I've never been disappointed with the 2 year option.  Less to think about.
