Flipping the gravity (and screen) is a most important thing in the game. It is basic part of moving through the worlds. I remember my first playing Flob in very early testing map, and it was very strange feeling. It is completely new experience, and you must learn it first, but it is like a learn to swim, or learn to ride a bike. When you get used to it, then you just do it instinctively. As @bocianu said, gravity flipping is very responsive and smooth when you play the game.

@Dinadan67 I agree. IIMHO modern indie games have the potential to translate well to the A8 to a certain extent and play to it's strengths - and Flob appears to illustrate this well in size, scope and in it's game physics/mechanics.

 

Another indie game I played a lot earlier this year on my Windows laptop is Inside. Fantastic atmosphere, great use of shading, excellent animation, a compelling back story/world and most importantly really engaging puzzle solving elements. Highly recommend it. 

 

The other reason I am mentioning Inside here, is that the developers earlier game, called Limbo, was actually one that was debated in a topic here on AA as to whether it was possible on the A8. What is interesting is Limbo is still a WIP being ported successfully to the C64. (see here)

 

Anyway, I digress  - counting down the days to, err, Flob  (man... that sounds gross!)

Game looks amazing! I like the original concept of the game. Most of the time we see new games reflecting old ideas with new twists or even very similar games. This makes me think how to plan a new game.

Had a go at Rastaconverting the title "poster" for Flob - just for fun.

 

Few flaws and colours were a real challenge but here's my take on it. 

 

 

Can't wait to get my hands on this game!
