graywest
Hello all! I've come into possession of a bunch of old Atari 8-bit disks from Ebay. Wasn't sure what was on them until recently - it seems that they were formatted with an XF551 and I didn't have one of those until last week. As far as I can tell, these disks were either copied from or part of the library of the Atari User Group of Toledo or Northern Ohio. (There are text files from both.) My plan is to investigate and archive the software if it hasn't already been archived anywhere else. For example, here's a text adventure that I couldn't find called "Adventure at Castle Vivengard" by Andy L. Thomas. VIVNGARD.BAS VIVNGARD.DAT Is it better to archive these as an .atr or other similar image file? 5

Yep, I'd image the disks as a whole and then concentrate or breaking out the individual files later on as you go.
