Can we play it on Evercade too? I don’t always like to take my Lynx on the road and I’ve been on the road a lot lately.

If emulation / gameplay is the same as the original game it should be ok.
I don't know enough about Evercade, don't have one.

Yes, it’s very well emulated.

4:53.77 with automatic transmission. I think I used to be better than this.

EDIT: 4:30.16 the second try with a 7 speed gearbox. Better. It’s funny that they have a guy in a speedo greet you when you pick a female driver.

EDIT 2: 4:23.38 on the third try with a four speed, and that was with two stupid crashes. I bet I can get another 20 seconds back.

EDIT 3: 4:13.38! 7 speed.

EDIT 4: 4:11 even. Despite crashing into a yucca I improved on the last score.

If I didn’t screw up I could get it down to 4 minutes. How fast is possible, I wonder?

4:25.66   Fun track! The boulder in the tight corner got me a few times; going to have to spend some more time on this one..

4:07.66. I missed shifting up heading into the long straightaway in the last lap. That added a few seconds. I think a Lynx 2 would have an advantage for this game - the cross pad would prevent unwanted shifts down and/or up when turning, which is how I keep screwing myself up.

EDIT: 4:06.05. I am learning not to over-turn - there are a lot of turns you don’t need to actually turn for.

EDIT 2: 4:05.83. I feel like Zeno’s tortoise. At least I’m improving.

I am having trouble getting much below this range.  When do you guys brake, heading into the turn, or at the apex?  Any other time shaving tips?  Approach corners from the inside, or proper racing line (out to in at apex)?

Inside "line", skid car to the outside using 100% of the road, the track is flat out and no braking except one corner.

The hairpin you need to break for, but the top right corner i can also not get through without breaking...maybe just let off the throttle, or am I not trying hard enough?

Whats people's strategy for the hairpin?  I usually turn in as long as i can, brake at the last second when it tightens up to avoid the boulders and then accelerate out of the turn.

Shaved about 3 second off my time so heading in the right direction!   You could make a training montage video for this game...

Higher Exit speed makes you faster on the straight. I use the dirt on the inside to slow down into the corner, full throttle at the apex to get a good exit speed.
