naujoks
Does anyone have an idea why my Lynx 1 only switches on when I'm inserting a game cartridge, but not when pressing the ON button? The OFF button on the other hand is super sensitive and only requires the lightest touch to work.
Trew
Do you mean... it only turns on (when pressing the button) if a game is inserted? If so, this is how it is meant to be. Or... do you mean you insert a game and it turns itself on without you pressing the on button? Like, it just powers itself up when you put a game in? If so, guessing the on button might be making permanent contact or something, so maybe open the Lynx up and gently clean around that area of the board. +Stephen Moss
See your previous post for a reply. As this is essentially an extension of your previous issue still appearing to be a Lynx power On/Off issue it make sense to keep everything related to it together rather than clogging up the forum with separate posts. Keeping everything together makes it easier for anyone with the same/similar issue looking for a possible solution to follow the steps taken to find it compared to having to jump from one thread to another. But you can disable this behaviour with a small solder bridge if necessary.
